GOLMINE & GOLDLINK FOR MAS 90 N.E.T. Remedies sells homeopathic products and produces educational seminars for doctors. MAS 90 had served as N.E.T.'s accounting system for several years. In 1997, N.E.T. Remedies decided it needed more capability out of its contact manager and that Maximizer, the flat database they had been using, would no longer meet their needs.
After shopping ACT!, N.E.T. decided that GoldMine was the contact manager that best fit their needs. GoldMine is used in the sales, marketing, customer service, order entry and seminar registration departments. Among the many activities N.E.T. uses GoldMine conduct are sending info packs to prospective customers, mass mailings, storing customer account numbers, storing customers' credit card numbers and keeping track of all calls, letters sent and classes attended by customers.
Due to the depth of GoldMine's capability, N.E.T has been able to do many things they were unable to do with Maximizer. Attaching filtering codes to customers has helped N.E.T create sorted mailing lists on disk for their mailing house, greatly improving the speed, efficiency and effectiveness of their mailing campaigns. Seminar class lists have been set up and techniques taught to seminar attendees are now able to be recorded. Sales and Marketing Director Marilyn Nicholas sums it up, "We had many demands of our contact manager and GoldMine has answered them. GoldMine is a great program. We really like it!"
GoldMine and GoldLink have had a tremendous effect on N.E.T.'s bottom line. "GoldMine and GoldLink have reduced our cost factor per contact by 50%," Nicholas reports. "Our contact information for mailing was stored at an outside source, which was costly and cumbersome. We now save on postage, employee costs and have a greatly reduced paper trail. We are able to keep much more detailed information on our contacts at significantly less cost."
N.E.T. implemented GoldLink for MAS 90 to make their data management system complete. Nicholas explains, "All accounts are created in GoldMine and transferred to MAS 90 using GoldLink. We therefore save a lot of time on data entry. GoldLink has made our systems compatible and has made everything work much more easily. We now have a much cleaner, faster and more effective contact management system."
